This book is so well illustrated and written it kept the interest of my 3 Grandson's. My 8 and 6 year olds were able to read it with very little help. They love dogs and with the addition of the farm animals, made it lots of fun. I grew up on a farm and this unexplainable relationship between animals, is so unique, that it makes the story very heart warming. I would recommend this book for all children. This is a very cute kid's book about the unlikely friendship which develops between a dog and a guinea hen. Told in rhyming verse, it's a fun book to read aloud.
BOOGIE DOG AND GUINEA tells the true story of the friendship between a dog and a wild guinea hen in a heartwarming picture book.
The tale is charmingly told in rhyme with color illustrations and the cover features a photograph of the two animals.
I'm looking forward to sharing this book with my grandchildren.
I really enjoyed giving this book to my seven year old granddaughter and hearing her read it to me. She laughed and talked to me about the book when she finished so I know she liked the book.
I wasn't really sure what to expect but I'm a sucker for Dog books. What a pleasant surprise to read a book that is sure to delight readers of all ages. Well written and beautifully illustrated, this little book left me wanting a sequel. I'm sure Boogie has a lot more adventures to tell about!
